I attended the Data Protection Officer Course conducted by ACT:DPI. The course covered all aspects of a Data Protection Officer’s role. The training included both data protection regulations as well as the implementation of data protection policies and procedures. I was equipped at the end of the course with the necessary tools and skills to be a good Data Protection Officer. I would like to thank both of you for training me in the discipline of personal data protection during the last four months. Your passion and your professionalism for PDP were very evident and I thoroughly enjoyed every session conducted by both of you. You took the time and effort to ensure that we fully grasp the PDP concept and, more importantly, the why, which allowed us to apply better what we learned and be more effective. You came up with many nuggets and mindmaps (over and above the learning guides) to allow us to understand better and remember what was taught and how to apply them. You willingly shared your experiences and thoughts about some policies and processes, making the sessions enjoyable.
The capstone projects were also exciting and fun and they allowed us to showcase what we learned. The projects in Capstone reflected the real-world situation and provided us with templates that we can readily apply when we embark on the DPO journey.
I am very inspired by the passion and dedication you showed us and I think there are so much more that can be done for the PDP profession and training.
