FEEDBACK FROM PARTICIPANTS

“I attended Yong Chye’s training on PDPA and he speaks from a position of authority. His depth of PDPA goes beyond the legislation; a given, granted his extensive background. He expertly weaves these PDPA obligations into real life examples and how challenging it can be to put them into practice. I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons as it is very structured, never once I felt lost, everything is where it should be. I can follow his slides along with the Learning Guide, such ease! It’s the small things that Yong Chye put in that makes trainees pay attention, instead of getting distracted with poorly organised slides. Thanks! Yong Chye will be my go-to person if there’s any PDPA discussions!”

SGUS Program – Data Protection Officer

I had a great experience with the training from ACT:DPI Pte Ltd. There are so many things you want to know and do well about PDPA and Data Protection, and one couldn’t possibly learn it on their own, and that’s where Yong Chye and his team make the difference. I congratulate them for bringing the whole experience as DPO into the training and outlining the program with real-life scenarios in the assignment. It isn’t about making PDPA easy for us just in class, but we can also apply them as DPO. Casey Chen

I attended the Data Protection Officer Course conducted by ACT:DPI. The course covered all aspects of a Data Protection Officer’s role. The training included both data protection regulations as well as the implementation of data protection policies and procedures. I was equipped at the end of the course with the necessary tools and skills to be a good Data Protection Officer.  I also like to thank my trainer Mr Loh Yong Chye who is very dedicated in his mission to equip us all with data protection skills while making the training sessions both engaging and enjoyable. – Karen Tan

Dear Francis and Yong Chye,

I would like to thank both of you for training me in the discipline of personal data protection during the last four months. Your passion and your professionalism for PDP were very evident and I thoroughly enjoyed every session conducted by both of you. You took the time and effort to ensure that we fully grasp the PDP concept and, more importantly, the why, which allowed us to apply better what we learned and be more effective. You came up with many nuggets and mindmaps (over and above the learning guides) to allow us to understand better and remember what was taught and how to apply them. You willingly shared your experiences and thoughts about some policies and processes, making the sessions enjoyable.

The capstone projects were also exciting and fun and they allowed us to showcase what we learned. The projects in Capstone reflected the real-world situation and provided us with templates that we can readily apply when we embark on the DPO journey.

I am very inspired by the passion and dedication you showed us and I think there are so much more that can be done for the PDP profession and training.

Thank you very much and all the best! – Shaun Han

I started out with zero knowledge about Data protection. With the intensive but fun lessons and capstones gave me a full in depth understanding. Thank you very much to Yong Chye and Francis who are always so patient and very generous in sharing their knowledge. – Belinda
